HEART OF ST. KITTS FOUNDATION PROJECTS
All of our projects support one or more of our objectives
According to a World Bank report published in 2012, St. Kitts and Nevis is ranked number 4 among countries that generate the most trash per capita per day. With 5.45 kilograms of trash per capita every day, St. Kitts knows a recycling system is not only needed, but mandatory. Without a proper recycling program, pressure will continue to build on the island’s only landfill.
The Heart of St. Kitts Foundation is working with its partners to identify a local waste management partner that will reduce pressures on the landfill, sensitize communities, and create a scalable impact on the environmental health of the island.
